A Little Time Away (and What That Means for Your Schedule)

Group class on the studio floor

Taking a Breathe, Together

I want to be upfront with you all about something coming up on the calendar. Catherine and I will be away on vacation from August 20 through August 22. We are genuinely excited for a little reset, and I believe wholeheartedly that stepping away to recharge is one of the most honest things a movement practitioner can do. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and that applies just as much to the people leading your sessions as it does to you.

I share this not just as a scheduling heads-up, but because I think it reflects a value we try to live out here at Lowcountry Power Pilates Studio. Balance is in our tagline for a reason. Mind, body, and spirit each need tending, and rest is part of that equation. Catherine and I will come back refreshed, present, and ready to bring our very best to you.

What This Means for Your Schedule August 20 Through 22

Please check your bookings for those three days, specifically Thursday August 20, Friday August 21, and Saturday August 22. Any classes that Catherine normally leads during that window will be affected. If you have a session scheduled and have not already heard from us, please reach out so we can make sure you are taken care of. Our team is here and we want zero surprises on your end.

Our other wonderful instructors, Camille, Emily, Jill, Joanelle, Joyce, Kelly, Lila, and Wendy, are talented, attentive, and fully capable of giving you an exceptional session. If your usual time slot is unavailable those days, please look at what else is on the schedule. Group Reformer classes, Group Mat and Tower classes, Privates, and Duets are all part of the regular rotation, and there are plenty of options to keep your practice consistent.

Why Consistency Matters Even Around Small Disruptions

Here is something I remind myself and our community often. A two or three day gap does not undo the work you have put in. Your body holds onto the neuromuscular patterns you have been building. What matters most is that you return to the equipment and the mat with intention when the studio is back to full swing. The clients in our community who see the most visible, lasting change are the ones who treat a brief interruption as exactly that, brief.

If you cannot make it in during that stretch, this is a great time to revisit the foundational movements you have learned in class. Breathing, pelvic positioning, and gentle articulation of the spine are things you can practice on a firm surface at home without any equipment. Think of it as reviewing your notes before the next lesson. When you walk back in after a few days off, you will often find your body has integrated things more fully than you realized.

A Moment of Gratitude Before We Go

Looking at the last 28 days, we completed 353 sessions as a community. That number genuinely moves me every single time I see it. Seventy-four returning clients choosing to show up for themselves, week after week, in a space built around their wellbeing. That is not a small thing. That is a commitment, and I do not take it lightly.

Catherine and I are stepping away knowing this community is in good hands and that you all understand the spirit of what we have built here together. We will see you on the other side of August 22, refreshed and grateful. Thank you, as always, for trusting Lowcountry Power Pilates Studio with your health and your time. It means everything to us.
