LCPP Studio Blog

Group class on the studio floor

July 1, 2026

We are half way thru 2026, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on a few things that feel more like reminders than coaching. I have been incredibly fortunate to have had truly amazing mentors throughout my years teaching Pilates. They didn’t just teach me a skill- they shaped the way I approach life. Being able to experience that kind of joy and pass it on to others is a gift I never take for granted!

Pilates isn’t just a set list of exercises, it about building a community of like minded people! When you love what you do, that joy naturally carries forward. The real gift is found in the moments shared in class. The connection, the meaning, the progress. It’s about helping people live their lives more fully and with intention.

After taking some time away this summer, I’ve reflected on what truly matters to me. This blog is rooted in five guiding themes: God, Grace, Goals, Growth and Gratitude. As we begin July, here are a few personal reminders I’m carrying with me:

1. Taking daily movement seriously – aim for 10K steps a day.

2. Taking time to appreciate what my body can perform and do. Move from a place of gratitude, not punishment.

3. Drinking a glass of H2O and squeeze fresh lemon every morning has really helped by hydration efforts tremendously.

4. Eat when your body asks for fuel. Listening to hunger cues, rather than the clock, has helped me become more mindful.

5. Protect your sleep. In our family, it is a true priority.

6. Finding joy and happiness in each day. Everyone’s why is different, some love to relax at the beach or a walk, a game like Mahjong or a round of Golf – make space for what makes you smile.

7. Engage your mind. Do something each day that inspires you or challenges your creativity.

These small reminders can make huge impacts on how you feel day to day. They ground us in what it means to be human, the ability to feel and be felt is a privilege. Have you taken a moment to reflect on your own human experience -right here and right now in 2026?

I would love to hear about it! Please share, it will be kept confidential.

Studio News:

Emily Mcfeely will be joining us this July! She has moved here from Augusta Georgia and comes to us with great Studio experience and knowledge teaching. Emily discovered her passion for holistic health while working with a local chiropractor in Georgia. What began as a job quickly grew into a calling, leading her to train as an instructor- an experience that confirmed her love for helping others improve their well-being.

Driven to deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection, Emily pursued her yoga certification and is currently working toward a degree in nutrition. She is passionate about integrating movement, mindfulness, and nutrition to support whole health. Emily’s goal is to empower others with the knowledge and tools they need to live balanced, fulfilling lives. We are excited to have her join our team!
